SHUT UP NIGERIA!
Since the 24 of December 2009, the most populous African country has stolen all the headlines in major new bulletins around the Globe. I doubt if the stain that the young boy has put on us (as Africans) is going to be removed soon. Its so hurting the kind of trouble this young boy has put many people into all because of the silliness of his religious believes. Nigeria, I think its time you people SHUP UP and everybody had their piece of mind. We have had enough of you. You have caused Africa too much already and we won’t sit for you to compound it.(remember Niger delta,corruption,419, occultism etc?)

Nigeria has been friends with Ghana and many other African countries for many years since they gained independence. Yet it seems that on many occasions they have taken this friendship for granted and have gone on throwing their shoulders about and showing everyone that they are the big boys of Africa. I cannot say much about other countries but here in Ghana, we truly fed up with Nigerians. We are tired of having to compromise on our reputation just because of some of your stupid crimes that you commit almost on a per second basis. Why wont you have something better to do other than bring shame and disgrace to that continent. Am really disappointed in Nigeria.

In the early 80’s, about a million Ghanaian immigrants were deported to Ghana for reasons best known to their government. Although it was sad to see such a thing among African countries ,who should shown love toward each other, after going through so much together in the name of colonialism, Ghanaians decided to put that behind and move on with its development and there came this people again tearing everything apart. Ruining all that we are trying to build. It’s a pain we as a nation sit for all this to happen to us. After all, we are a very hospitable country, aren’t we? Nigeria has infested us with so much bad name that when foreign investors mention African countries they risk or fear doing business in, Nigeria always comes along with Ghana and others. Are you surprised? We still keep quiet on these while they keep dragging our name together with theirs in the mud.

Nigeria has one of the highest crime rates in the world. Its seems they have a particular attraction to crime since they are almost always in the news for one crime or the other. Between 2006 and 2008 alone, more that 30 Nigerians were involved in armed robbery cases in Ghana. After giving another reason for the world to laugh at them through their fraudulent, and occultist dealings, it seems they did not have enough and have transmogrified their criminal ideas into a more strange and dangerous form. Look my Nigerian friends, if petty crime is not enough for you and you want to commit suicide bombing attacks on American soil, please issue a disclaimer and leave Ghana and Ghanaians out of your criminal acts. We beg you. If you want to remain in the Stone Age where people kill at random and occultism is the order of the day, please leave us out. We don’t want to be associated with your crime. We have our own problems to deal with. So if you wouldn’t mind, kindly do that business alone.
It also appears to me that these loud Nigerian people do not want to live in and develop their country. Although I admit that doing business is essential, I have to quickly say that doing business with another nation that has ruined its own business opportunity is a very dangerous thing any nation can do. Here in Ghana, it’s becoming too difficult for us. Nigerians seem to be taking over our country. Nigeria has put in place measures that make it very difficult for other countries to operate Banks over there, and yet they have many banks spread across our nation doing business and taking the capital back to their home town. There are a lot of churches that have been established by Nigerian pastors who use dubious means to collect our monies and send them back to Nigeria while we are at the loosing end. They are all over the place selling pirated movies even from their own country. Recently, there was a rumour, that Nigerians are paying huge amounts of money to acquire Ghanaian passports. Are you shocked? Ghanaians, why? Are you not sad enough? They have transferred their acts of crime in the Ghanaian society which even makes it worse. Credit card fraud, occultism, money laundering, armed robbery and drugs are becoming the fast pace behaviour of some of the Ghanaian youth, thanks to our association with Nigerians.
Corruption and bribery takes turns on a daily basis in Nigeria, according to reports, this country is one of the most corrupt countries in the world, an enviable title which they intend to keep for many years to come unless they decide to let go off it. Their nation is so corrupt that they cannot provide basic amenities to the citizens in Niger delta where majority of the oil money comes from. This has degenerated into a “small” conflict that has claimed many lives and wasted natural resources both human and capital. Thanks to you, many African countries suffer high prices in petroleum products although you taut yourself as one of the leading oil producers in the world. Listen, dear Nigerians, don’t be deceived into thinking that your size determines your economic power. If you were 10 billion, and had all the greatest natural resources, it will still count for nothing if your politicians are corrupt, your people are criminals, and you failed to use your resources to build your nation. We beg you please SHUT UP.

Nigeria, your superstitious movies and behaviour comes second to none on the African continent. In fact such movies account for more that 80% of the movies that come out of Nigeria every year. Thank you, you have succeeded in infecting Ghanaians with superstitious believes to the extent that Ghanaians fear each other so much, a behaviour which didn’t exist so much prior to our major contact with Nigerian movies. Your movies are poor, anti-scientific, superstitious, occultist, full or crime, corruption, useless religion and your attempt at romance is very disgraceful. The superstitious movies you produce are poison to the minds of our little children, your occultism harms our society and your behaviour sends tears to many on the African continent. Do you want everyone to think of your superstition? Please forgive us but we are tired or these crap. You have succeeded in crawling into the Ghanaian society with the aim of selling your evil products to the Ghanaian community. Thanks for the offer but, no thanks, we will try something else very easy and yet very development oriented.

Nigeria, S.H.U.T. U.P. its time you kept quiet and crawled back into your shell and started growing up and solving your own problems rather than creating more for everybody else living on this continent. We respect you, We know your population is very large, but you also have to use your population size wisely. We are tired of dealing with the hash situations that you people are creating for us .Better Shut up develop your country. SHUT Up Nigeria.

Please STOP spreading this hate mail is not helping anyone.the young man's father has long alerted the U.S Embassy before all these and they did not do anything so why blame it on Nigerians that is so unfair, doe I've not seen you we've been having good chart on this platform but as I saw this stupid message from you today, I could not believe is you.

My brother crime is everywhere! I will advice you to STOP this kind of ignorant talks. If you do not know ask, Ghana first deported Nigerians but we shouldn't go there because the world is unifying and in unity their is strength.

I do not want to go on because you just spoiled my day man.

Karma, I disagree with you. I am not sure whether you live in Ghana or are privy to some of the goings-on in Ghana. One thing we Ghanaians are fond of doing, is to use euphemisms where even the most polite diplomat would prefer to go straight to the point. Whether we drove them first or they drove us first is not the point. The fact is there is too much negative feedback coming from the activities of our brothers from the oil-rich east, both on our own grounds and on the international scene. I am not sure which of the issues discussed here is uninformed, perhaps it would do you good to put your ears to the ground, listen, and read. There is crime everywhere, yes! We know that, but does it mean we should sit down and fold our arms under the excuse that it is everywhere?

Nigeria is TROUBLE, that’s a fact, and if you disagree with that, then perhaps you need to do more reading. That Country needs to take a grip of itself, elect competent, trustworthy, and corruption-free leaders, take a closer look at its citizens and their activities both home and abroad, enforce law and order, and seriously take steps to improve its image and brand on the international platform. This too, is a FACT. By their activities and their decision to diversify their operations into other "friendly" and more "reputable" countries like Ghana, we are all caught-up in a corruption and anti-development quagmire that threatens to destroy everything we have built together as a nation in the last 10 or so years. Now they threaten to draw us into international terrorism, a word very foreign as far as out motherland is concerned. If the talk about fake pastors and nonsensical films are also 'uninformed', as you put it, then maybe you did not read about the T. B. Joshua saga or have not seen what has been passing on our TV screens as movies in the last few years. Have you ever visited the Ashongmang and Dome areas of Accra? Have you ever worked in any bank in the country where you see the kinds of illegitimate transactions these Nigerians undertake? Did you read about the bank saga involving a Nigerian MD? There are countless examples, my dear friend, and I don't think any discerning Ghanaian, well informed with the current events, will have trouble pointing one out.

Yes the boy's father tried to warn the U.S. and Yemeni officials. Does it remove the fact that he was from Nigeria? Please let us put things into perspective. Maybe you should read the major news bulletins around the world. Anytime they talk of the attempted terror attack, Nigeria's name is attached to the culprit and its NIGERIA's name that goes down the pit. And I am sure you are aware, the Americans after seeing, what a piece of work Nigerians are, have put the WHOLE COUNTRY (not the boy's family) on a black list.

And as for the description of hate mail; you prefer to see hate where, based on very solid grounds, a fellow citizen chooses to express genuine and warranted concerns and dissatisfaction about the activities of our Anglophone brothers. I disagree with your use of the phrase "hate mail". I think what you may end up doing is to divert attention from what is REALLY IMPORTANT. THE NIGERIAN CRISES! I think this is a genuine topic with great merit that requires urgent attention. I think it needs to be discussed without the traditional Ghanaian euphemistic screens, which never cease to cloud our judgment and prevent us from acting until it’s too late. To combat the creeping catastrophe that will eventually catch up with us, if we don't act, we need to discuss these issues more openly, take a solid stand to protect our country's image and its people, and work with the genuine Nigerians to nip this societal menace in the bud. Burying our heads in the sand in solidarity with the proverbial ostrich and assuming the problem does not exist is NOT the solution. I embrace regional integration and will preach it any day, BUT NEVER at the detriment of distinguished people of Ghana. Over and out.
